Job Description

A lovely family of three (soon to be four) who are based in Dalkey, seek a caring, kind and experienced Nanny to look after an eighteen month old girl with a second child due in April.  Initially this position will involve working alongside the mother who is currently on Maternity leave.  This will become a sole charge role in August.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideally a minimum of three years childminding experience as a Nanny, Montessori Teacher, Creche Worker, etc., with at least two years in the same job.
• Excellent References.
• Ideally a FETAC, QQI or Montessori qualification up to at least level 6.
• Fluent English.
• Newborn and toddler experience would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience of batch cooking would be a huge bonus.
• Paediatric First Aid would be preferable.
• A full, clean driving licence and own car.

DUTIES:

• Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week.  Flexible start and end times.
• Following the little girl's routine around feeding, napping and play.
• Engaging with her in age appropriate games and activities as well as local playgroups where possible and going on walks, to the park, the beach and the playground.
• Helping with both children once the baby is born.
• Sterilising and washing equipment, changing nappies, managing all child related duties such as tidying up, laundry and meal preparation. 
• Helping with the adjustment and transition for the eighteen month old. 

Approx. salary and benefits:

• €850 to €1,050 gross per week.
